Bank Wire Transfer for International Funds Transferring
Bank wire transfer is becoming one of the most effective methods of international funds transfer. In a bank wire transfer the money is sent electronically from your account to the recipient's bank account. It is by far the quickest, as well as most secure mode of bank transfer for remitting funds locally or internationally.
We at State Bank of India (California) offer comprehensive and speedy services to transfer money internationally via wire transfer. There will be no hidden fees or lower exchanges rates. No more complicated requirements and 'pending funds' transfers. Our services are even open 24 hours a day.
How to send a bank wire transfer?
The procedure for bank wire transfer is simple. You can easily remit money from your bank to the receivers' account by issuing instructions to your banker. Put a stop to 'pending funds' transfers as a wire transfer enables you to transmit money swiftly to the destination account. One telephone call is all that is required, or if you prefer, go to the nearest bank branch to transfer the funds.
You should provide the following information to the remitting bank in order to transfer funds to your beneficiaries' account:
- Bank of the beneficiary including branch details
- Beneficiaries bank account number
- Name, address and details of the beneficiary
- Your (Remitter's) name and address
If you are issuing a bank wire transfer for paying for commercial transactions then you should also include the following information:
- Company name
- Customer ID number
- Invoice number (if available)
Some banks receive bank wire transfer only through a third intermediary bank. In such cases, in addition to the previous information you will need to present information about the intermediary bank.
Here are a few factors to consider when sending International Funds Transfer via Bank Wire Transfer:
- Find how much your bank charges for the bank wire transfer.
- If there is an intermediary bank involved, then ask the receiving bank if it has a 'no fee' agreement with the intermediary bank.
- Ensure that the bank is offering proper exchange rates for amounts transferred.
- Bank wire transfers are primarily regulated by respective states where the banks are located. Some states have licensing requirements for bank wire transfers.
- Check out if your bank charges any additional fees.
