State Bank of India (California) offers you money transfer services for transferring money to any Branch of State Bank Group in India and all other Bank Branches participating in RTGS. For locating a Branch of SBI, click here   ALL RUPEE DRAFTS FOR RS 50,000 & OVER ARE ABSOLUTELY FREE Money Transfer Facilities to India MODE: a) Draft b) Wire Transfer c) Instant Transfer   CURRENCY: a) Indian Rupee b) U.S. Dollar   METHODOLOGY FOR MONEY TRANSFER Draft Wire Transfers i) Attach a cashier’s check or personal check in favor of “State Bank of India (California)” for the amount of the remittance plus our charges. Please attach a photocopy of your current driving license or any other photo I.D. ii) If visiting our office in person, you may also pay by cash up to USD $2500 or if by credit card up to your cash advance limit , or USD $2500 whichever is lower. Faxed request for remittance using your credit card can be accepted only up to USD $1000. iii) If you are visiting our office in person and are paying cash or cashier’s check or credit card, the draft will be handed over to you immediately. In other cases the draft will be prepared as soon as possible and it will be mailed to you Procedure is the same as applicable to Draft. Your cashier’s check should include our charges. i) Please allow for a hold period for collection of your personal check. ii) Please ask for details of how to wire funds to us. Faxed request for remittance using your credit card can be accepted only up to USD $1000.   INSTANT TRANSFER: Our Branches offer Instant Transfer of Rupee funds to India. Instant transfer is a real time rupee remittance facility to the beneficiary’s account maintained with State Bank of India in India at all the Core Banking Branches. This facility is available to both the customers and non-account holders of our Bank. Procedure and charges for the Instant Transfer are the same as applicable to Wire Transfer.
